Those words he had just spoken
With no way he could know
Of the seed that he had planted
Or how deep the roots would grow
They wrote each other letters
And he told her of the sounds
Of the mortars and munitions
Every time he turned around

I am right there beside you

And I am there inside you
Baby don’t be afraid
But what she didn’t say
Was the love they made
Had been growing in her every day
Yet I pray that this letter will find you
Somewhere sheltered and safe
He’d be flying in tomorrow

She'd be there to greet him
Worried ‘bout what he might say
He was picking up his luggage
When she said turn around
His eyes were staring back at him
His bags fell to the ground
And he stood beside her
Every step of the way
He became a father
And was never afraid
Of what he didn’t know
He would learn, he would grow
He was certain they’d make some mistakes
But he never had to remind her
She could see it in his face
That he’d stand beside her
Every step of the way
And they’d make it together

This reminds me of a song:
"A lonely sodier
sat at his bedside
writing a letter
with tears in his eyes
Why he was crying
was a mystery to me

these words in his sleep
It's been so long

ah, nazzy......I don't know how you keep coming up with these, (I s'pose anna?),
but they are unfaltering in their ability to evoke such tender and sweet emotion.
This was simply beautiful. I'm beginning to think my comments on your work
are redundant, but there are just so many ways to express....
brilliance.

My heart sighs with joy and a new warmth that puts a large smile on my face... This is positively enchanting, and resonating with truth and beauty that it brings tears to my eyes...
The splendors of true love can never really be described... but this.. this, my friend, is an exceptionally divine effort, one that can be related to by many. I love how real this is, how it could happen, and does happen and how so many people could relate to it in some way.
Mostly, I love your words, the way you put them together, the story you tell, and how you draw everyone into it with your imagery.
