anguished

Her dress is white, gleaming, viriginal splendor
She is alone, broken, bewildered
Her hair of fire and crimson cheek
Her orbs leak tears of empty spaces.
The wind is cold, inviting, soothing sting
She is alone, silent, seeking
Her skin like gossamer of the palest moonlight
Her delicate feet touch the comforting grass
The ocean is smiling, loving, beckoning home
She is alone, wanting, waiting
Her lips like parted pilgrims
Her arms spread welcoming the nights embrace
Her essence is screaming, releasing, begging freedom
She is alone, falling, flying
Her body like arched arrow
Her heart fills with abandoned hope
Her dress is white, gleaming, virginal splendor
She is alone, patient, pacing
Her spirit like unsettled winter
Her soul waits eternally for yours

This is very good. It actually reminds me of a series of poems I wrote called "The winter of my youth". Your poem is full of sadness and longing and like my soul yours seems to cry out too. I say that so that you do not feel that you are alone. |

Mwahahah. I've seen the reference to lips as pilgrims before, but never was able to use it myself.
Nicely done, and I like the contrast between the first and last stanzas. Well done! |

It's hard to add to the previous comments as it's basically already been said. Great job! Keep it up and thank you for sharing.
Take care,
