Your boys are special, they deserve
a dad who doesn’t have to swerve

for them it is not practical.
And you, my love, deserve the best;
not this life that became a mess
on that fateful day long ago.
It hurts so much, I love you so.
Why is it that I cannot see
life without you eternally?

Hmmm...flow-wise this seemed to hit a couple bumps, but when I read it with a more staccato rhythm, it worked out the kinks. This poem is well written, and you express yourself well. The subject itself makes me cringe a little. Only because I hate when someone says 'I love you, that's why I have to leave you'. Admittedly, I have never had someone say this to me, nor have I ever said it to a bf. I still don't agree with that way of thinking though! I just think, no matter how you, me, or whoever views themself, and thinks we may screw up someone's life, we should at least let the other person decide if it's worth the 'risk'. Isn't that what love's really about??
Just my opinion, but another good read by you still : )

If ever anyone asks you, what do you want from me, reply to them... Everything..
Give the person you love everything you have to offer..
My first husband passed away.. I was so in love with him. It hurt me so bad, I just didn't know how to handle the love I had for him, I could not share it with him here on earth, while he was in heaven..
Then one day I realized, I do not have to stop loving him.. I can still keep my love for him blooming everyday... in one of my poems I write... as long as I am alive, I will live for you, and love you, and I am running this race here on earth, in order to see your face again.
Your write is beautifully written in that it shows your heart, how strong it is, and keep loving, and never ever leave that love..love is a precious thing, Never, ever turn your back..
Once I fall in love, I am in love eternally... I remarried, the only thing I said to my present husband before we married was, Yes, I will marry you, and never tell me who to love, or how to love, just let me love. And yes, he asks me what I wanted from him, my reply was.. EVERYTHING!!!!

Amazing write john, you need to realize though, while you think you may be being a burden, if the other person feels the same way about you, little things won't matter. Your going to find someone amazing one day john, and they won't care about anything but you. Hope your days get brighter soon.

| I like your selflessness in this poem. The rhyme sceme is very good. Your title is the same as a song i wrote in 1999 (not posted) called "You are the one" I read it to see if it said the same thing (had the same message) it doesn't but your message is very good. |
