What a strange Fall it is
Thanksgiving Anniversary of them now gone
My Father, Grandparents and then Granddaugther
Five Dearest and Closet Friends
and then Finally Mom.

All of us remaining will gather as she would have wished
Have turkey and smiles all around
A few new friends around our family table
Some just brand new
Theres alway been room for a few
No one ever turnt away
Its Thanksgiving Day

My collar I pull closer round me
Alas Still Comes that low ache
Of days in the Sun and the Very thoughts of you
I am so glad that these few Giants were in my life
some how some way.

As the breeze kisses my face with the smell of Winter
I can't help but remember those now gone
The yellow and reds of the roasted brown leaves
Dry and curling falling from the trees
remind me of the months gone by.
Seems like yesterday We had said good bye
October a time when the harvest in done
The memeries are coming
So heavily and wanting to let me know
they are still watching .

The heavens are a glow with the light of the Sun
and I slowly turn around and walk away

Such a visual, and sad write. Yet, something made it feel, happy. Yes, when the ones we love are taken, we cry, and become sad.yet, we know they WILL always, be in the heart.! Loved the write. Thanks

Brew~
