I keep on falling from the perfect me that dies
In the guilt and remorse building inside
which proves alone
I have no hope of reaching a utopiaic being
I try
but my efforts to reform the debts I owe
are like trying to replace the sands of beaches
washed away
with a bucket and shovel, I feel so all alone
I am swimming in the middle of the ocean
drowning in the waters of my bad habits
Stormy billows are on every horizon
and my strength fails a little more each day
I need someone to save me
clean the slate of all transgressions
held against me
I need someone to save me
instill in me direction
to show me how to live
I knew nothing except
I was gonna die
until you pulled me from the water
and put me on the raft of life
and in the future
if i ever should lose you
with all the debts i owe for sinning
I know that my hope is through
I hope
my little raft sails on a steady course
you provide the wind in my sails to bring me home
from the sea
I can't wait until the day that i finally will see land
I know
there's no way that i can paddle this alone
I see other rafts and it gives me more hope
I'm not alone
We will make this journey together

to guide my ship within the ocean
so i know where i am going

Seems to me Archie, You have already found, alot.! Thats just me, tho. I liked it.it has something there, that basically can answer its self.! i beleive, you can as well, and I know you beleive.!

| I can't begin to describe to you how much I can relate to this, in fact "relate" is putting it mildly,this is me. My poems, "Asylum of My Mind, "Can Anyone Hear Me???", and "Stay True" are about the Exact same struggle, I Loved this poem so much, I felt every desperate word, AMAZING poem, Thanks so much for sharing it with Me... |

Wow. I am blown away by this. The very first stanza feels like it came from my thoughs and feelings. Failure, the fear of failure seems to be the ruling force in my life since I lost my job last year. Very powerful emotion. If you let it, it will ruin you.

What a beautiful awoval of our NEED.
And also the Leit-Motive of the water and the little craft. (Jesus walks upon the water).
It's when we acknowledge publicly our need that we are saved. Not self-sufficiency - but NEED acknowledged need. that is wanting in so many.
