You use to build me up
Never to tare me down.
Always brought happy smiles.
Never made me wonna frown.

Darlin, you've certainly changed.
Not in a very good way.
Don't throw rocks at me.
None are perfect, hey!

Change is a good thing
If one strieves to do better.
We shouldn't run arround
with our minds in gutter.

Now I don't pretend to
Be perfect, no righteous saint.
Things you said to me
I most definently ain't!

My life ain't no bowel of cherries
But happiness lives inside.
No matter what comes around
In luv I do respectufully reside.

Cute, it kinda reminded me of my Dad, with the slang words like, aint and darlin, hes from the midwest, so anyway, adorable, I think it portrays the way you feel by using the slang, I enjoyed it thanks for sharing...

It's always hard when relationships sour, that's why I loved the last stanza. It shows you have your priorities in order. Great write!!!

peace and hugs my friend, john

Rant away...tell it like it is: )

This makes me think of the type of person who isn't happy with themselves, so they feel they have to belittle others, just to feel good about their self image. I like that ending. Good job!

This is definitely the poem of an optimist. I can tell through this poem that you're tough and you can love and let go easily. Congrats. Ciao,

Sweet poem.. how you end it in so much love as you are..yes, give out your love no matter...

my parents taught me .. several things.. the best one lesson.. learned.. is to love...show love, be loved..

no, instead of always saying sorry... show them by actions, is how they taught.. me.

happiness lives inside of me too Emy.. His name is Jesus..

my life may never be a bowl of cherries, cause i keep putting them in a pie lol.

Don't worry i won't throw rocks at you, I think you are a nice person.

Someone once said "If you are pointing a finger at someone don't forget that 3 are pointing back at you"

Thanks for the reminder.
