Detached
Lost in my own mind

Everyone around me stares and snickers
I hear them

I know they are talking about me
I hear them
In my thoughts
In my dreams
In my reality
Yet there is nothing I can do

I revert deeper and deeper inside my mind
Trying hard to desperately escape their torture
But I can still hear them taunting me

Like a light through the darkness
I hear your voice
Trying to break through
It's too late
Before I know it
You decieve me
It darkens
You are just like everyone else

I try to hide
Away from you
Away from everything I know
Deeper and deeper I fall
Into my hole
Consumed by my own torment
Just trying to escape

Beautifully described anguish of a soul imprisoned
Paihfully sensitive to taunts and disdain coming at it from the outside.
Why not just ignore these forces and step beyond.over their heads :)
I love the pyramidal form.
Beautifully penned
Hugs
Elizabeth

This is good. Don't come too much of a recluse though or you will miss out on the joy that people bring.

People hurt people that is the way of life that's why we have the words "I'm sorry"
