And see you crying
It makes my heart ache
With every tear that falls
From your pretty face
It melts my skin like acid rain

I want to say don't cry pretty girl
But the words they just won't come
I want so bad to heal your heart
But it's just so hard
So many miles away

With all these miles between us
I know silently you wonder
Why I am not there
To hear your laughter
And dry your tears

Even with so many miles between us
Soon I'll be there
To hear your laughter
And dry your tears
To heal your broken heart
Soon I'll be there [comments] => 3 [counter] => 695 [topic] => 5 [informant] => Evening_Star [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ChildrensPoetry )

Amazing, after reading all your poems, I think this is my favorite. Children usually, don't realize what they have until they've lost it, it's the same for any age really. But a mothers love is a great gift, a gift not all have but none the less, I'm sure she know's you still care, and still love her. Very heartfelt, I enjoyed reading it.
