Mistaken

Topic: SadPoetry

I fell for you thinking you were going to catch me,
But of course I was wrong
For some reason I thought you were different
From all the rest, but I was mistaken
By all things you told me
The way you looked into my eyes
The way your soft lips touched mine

What hurts the most is that this time I fell to deep
Thinking you felt the same about me
But once again I was mistaken
By the way you touched me
The way you held me tight
The way we cuddled at night

Where do we go from here?
I mean were do I go from here
It’s hard to just forget you
Even though you forgot me in a drop of a dime
Although you hurt me
My feelings are still the same
I know yours have changed
So do I just sit here, hold back my tears
And let you walk away?
I am unsure; I just don’t want to be mistaken
Once again
