thinking of others besides you;
but I’m so tired of being lonely
and I’m so tired of being blue.

It’s been my wish these eight long years
that your life had finally moved on.
Can’t I expect the same for me,
that this pain will finally be gone?

I know it’s true our love was great,
we had so many years of fun;
but now it’s time to leave it behind –
my loss a blemish on the sun.

Our love I will always cherish
but it’s time to rebuild my life;
and I’ll do so with an open heart,
it’s time to release the strife.

I’ve newfound friends and dreams again,
and desire to move ahead.
I hope that it’s the same for you,
our love’s alive – the pain is dead.

So honey for me the time has come,
it’s time for my heart to fly;
and I will do so with no regrets,
this is the final goodbye.

Nicely done John, a very lovely "goodbye I am moving on" poem. If I may say it like that....

Its always difficult to let go of the ones we love so dear. But sometimes we have to othewise it will drain us badly. It better to give it a place and then try to move on. Hard work...I know....but oh so needed. You portraiting that very nicely here that you are moving on.

All me best wishes for you, to find that one special lady to share yer life with. May it bring a lot of good things.

Huggsss,

Nats.

Brilliant! Honestly, John. This was très très bon!! I loved how free it
feels! How confident, happy and determined it is. Moving forward with
conviction! There is nothing quite so liberating!!! Well done my
friend. Very well done!!!!

~Breezy
p.s. love the title and how you placed it right at the end.
Very effective!

We ALL have to say goodbye, for good. Yes, we have others to see, and learn. DO not ever feel you have hurt them, you have moved on, and they have too.! We share speacial moments, and things, YET.......theres more to others as well.! Its the HEART that counts.! Very well written and thought.

Tissues Please:

Unhappiness to let go, make room for joy, time for change, ready for a new start, keep the love but get rid of the pain, boy can you ever write a good masterpiece here.. woo hooo..

Is it ..In sickness and in health, or is it in sickness and in pain.. how painful can love be at times yeah... sometimes you just have to depart from pain that drags ya down...not good for both, innerselves..

Well leaving is changing, approaching new worlds , getting away from out of cold feelings, no embers, fire going out, the ashes are cold, not even smoldering at this point..

They slowly died, faded, emotions, leaving fond memories of the past.. inside, is about what you have left, hang onto them, they are valuable, exposing our hearts, hanging inside out no less, and some how we pick ourselves up, move on.

Reminds me of a poem I need to post one day, pass the hurt.. in case I forget, remind me of it, will share it with you...

You are a wonderful writer, thank you...

Raquel Leah :D
