Calling Me...
as call you must-

For surely that is where it all begins.

..at last to make sense of this foolish life
when the most escapable charms
and antitrust conspiring alarms
that hold us tightly and all in thrall..

as we precariously can crawl
about our little plot..
loosen up and lamely fall
from our inhospitable skin
and nothing more we crave

of Sunset.. or of Dawn
prizes lost or a newest con
of tenacious image haul
from a sinister nowhere
of above and beyond the air
beyond and below an initial grave
and with no need then to act so brave
or lament of a perilous abandoned spot
one in which we think we got
but we no longer care.

Call Me Lord...
and call you will..
in the dawn and dusk of all Our sinning
while always dreaming the dream of winning
one more fleeting moment filled

..my mouth filled with the usual stuff
nonsensical rambles..in measure enough
to buoy me through to another day
..content to let the Devil play
My eyes peeled for sudden wonders
on every random dream

still capable of self-surprise
and unutterable surmise
but still adept at making blunders

traversing the thin trapeze
above the torn nets of sanity

So I'd rather go while I'm ahead..
just before paying the inevitable toll
with an inconsequential soul..

My debts in life accumulated
as I fumbled and procrastinated
in earning some Daily Bread
bad enough at anytime to be dead..

you'll see that I'm awake or asleep
in April or November-deep
wild in cups or pondering sober
and if that singular vine should weep
at whose footfalls o're my aspirations leap
give them all the comfort you can-
and the promise of a happier plan

just waiting 'round the next bend
let 'em know you're passing aint the end-
of brighter things to come to them
of all the times that never were
no longer with me around
to mutter a single possessive sound.

Billy

Excellent. An anguished, emotional, mindspill. Unfolding layer by layer, taking the reader through stages of dark despair. Very good job Billy.
Keep writing through it...things will get better: )

WEll,, things are what sometimes, we make them. Cant say any more, nor any less. It takes what is felt, and what is needed for an inner to get what they want
Beleiveable thinking
self reasurring
And ones trust
If not any, then..............?????//

Liked the write, but...cant, do any more. Its yours

*reads poem.....is nearly shattered by the silence of the room........
draws a breath and finds her voice...*

Anguised does not even come close my dear Billy. You weaved
your words in such a torturous way. So bloody heartwrenching,
I am left weeping, and yet moved to no end. Would that I could, take
all this anguish away.....but still, from the deepest part of sorrow
does inspiration lie. And lo, how your words drip with inspiration!
"traversing the thin trapeze
above the torn nets of sanity"

Masterpiece falls short in description of this creation.

C'est magnifique!!!!

humbly yours,
~Breezy

A brilliant masterpiece filled with so much wisdom. I can see ur work been read in class rooms around the world one day my dear friend. Move over Allan Edgar Poe the spotlight belongs to the talented Billy now. I wished I had just half of ur talent dearest Billy. Keep penning those emotions down.
Much love from ur devoted fan,
Sue, ED.
