Slip on narcotic robes
Dreams become solid
Colors drip down the drain
Pouring out the cup of light
Stepping out across the cosmos
Holding on to a comet’s tail
Falling back to this terrestrial rock
Capturing the wind in callous hands
An ocean floats on you
Asking stones how to run
Forgetting how to breathe
Trees now cutting you down
Your smile now a frown
Protected by a shield of glass
Elected mayor of this dead town
Dying to try and stay alive
Gravity now pushes away
Falling up against the sky
Clouds express mocking laughter
The moon shudders all through the day
Caught picking the lock to heaven’s door
Facing a mirror that reflects no light
Prison with no ceiling, walls or even a floor
Eternity will end tomorrow
A heart pumps dust through withered vein
Colors now totally washed away
The portrait of life has no frame
It’s
Held by the wind
and
painted by rain

i love the imagery achieved here through the mentioning of conflicting elements back to back. i love this part:

An ocean floats on you
Asking stones how to run
Forgetting how to breathe
Trees now cutting you down

Well for goodness sakes here..horrifying dream..

the world out to get you.... well, you are part of all..

And yes, we began to die the moment we were born.

Your writing, this poem overwhelms the emotions here.. can really confused the mind.. locked up in a free world... and still cannot escape.. what kind of secret is this.. only protection we have is Him.. but no privacy, He knows all.. this write can leave one very insecure if one thinks too deep.. what is behind the clouds, the sky, what is behind the sky.

I like that picture I get of the wind and the rain...

I could not see the wind, if it was not for the rain drawing drops in the air..

Wow in and out of life, nature, becoming a part of it, nature is backstabbing you...a solid dream, empty life....over and out..

Well nice knowin ya.. lol.. if that is all there was, or is to be...nah.. can't go there.

hey, I am just writing my thoughts, silly ones too, your poem made me go crazy.
