~~~~~
You asked me what I知 doing
I知 not really sure I know
I知 just staring at our child
Like I知 watching him grow
Cuddled up with his pillow
Stretched out on the bed
My, how he痴 grown
From his toes to his head
No longer that little baby
I held in my hands
No longer those chubby cheeks
They are more like a man's
Where did the time go?
He痴 growing up way too fast
I知 losing my little boy
As each day pass
Shortly, toys will be replaced with books
And books with a car
And you値l be off to college
In some state way too far
I wish I could keep you at this age
For the rest of your life
And you壇 be my little boy
To be shared with my wife
Oh Jeff...I know this feeling only too well...with my little nephew...who I have had with me since birth... he is now 11..and I'm thinking...soon, I'll have to let go. It won't be the easier thing to do, I know....
Great write..
Hugs to Chris...
Jenni
I hear you loud and clear. I did that too.
Saw my boys grow into men. Each morning they got up, their legs grew so fast at night, they had to learn how to walk each day.
Sang to them, just sat and watched them as they slept, wishing those sweet little boys would stay little boys forever.
Well, they grew up into beautiful men and brought me 6 grandchildren.
I love your write.. a poem for parents and all those who don't want their loved ones to grow out of youth.
Excellent write, thank you
Raquel Leah
