You and I are smiling there
A smile crosses my face at the memory
Your face is torn and frayed
And you are fading with the passing time
But I can see my love for you in my eyes
Happiness and sadness
All the feelings of the past are a simple memory
I sigh and place the picture deep inside my memory
Not to be thought of much again
For everytime I think of you
The memory starts to fade some more
Soon to be gone from existance
And this little picture is all the memory I have

Wow. A commanding write! So forlorn and yet so very
beautiful. I feel for you. I know of what you speak.
Well done!

Yes, yes! The hurt fades eventually too, my dear. When one breaks your heart, another will come along that can mend it. You must keep your eyes open for that special someone, and don't let them get away! This poem was written from the heart, with your emotions portrayed well. Good poem, I like this. Keep up with the poetry, it helps dull the pain too:)

AliBi.

Strong words and very well put together!True, real and sad...how such a small picture can open wounds that's healed a long time ago.The mind has so many processes, reflect, learn and grow...then keep what you chhose tocarry with you and release the rest.Love is not easy, though so worth it!What an amazing poem...well done!
