sending everything crashing
around me the system
is failing sitting waiting
for the pressing darkness
that I know is coming
alone I sit in the corner
waiting for my own demise
everything is dying
from want of love
I need oxygen
so I can breathe
alone I sit in the corner
on my knees
praying to gods
who are deft
to my pleas
this is my contropasso
alone I sit in the corner
these visions plague me
I feel the cold hand of a demon
come to take me away
I’m ready to leave
what’s left of this broken human
alone I sit in the corner
drinking once again
empty bottles litter the floor
to match my empty soul
my heart and my body
alone I sit in the corner
I kept giving until I have nothing
what more could I possibly do
what could I give you
to make you understand
how I’m imploding
alone I sit in the corner
with my tear stained eyes
with inkwells filled with blood
I scribble on the walls
to empty my head
what more is there than
alone I sit in the corner

I really like this one. The repetition was nicely done and just right, the wording was perfect and the flow was incredibly smooth. I love it. A sorrowful and dark write, one that most can relate to - but in their own way. Thanks for sharing.

Take Care
- Becca

Heart-wrenchingly emotive.
I've enjoyed this rather much...the dark themes and tortured scribbles, complete the atmospheric component to the gifted content, which you have so kindly offered us.
Thank you.
