I watch you drive away.
And as you move away from sight,
Then I just have to pray;
Dear Lord go with my baby.
I hope you know today,
That she’s the one to keep me here,
From ever going astray.
Dear Lord oh please protect her.
Bless her today I pray.
Take all her ills and pains and cares,
And troubles far away.

And as I’m praying for you,
I also close my eyes.
I remember then those kisses,
With warmth, and love, and pride.
And as I do I take my tongue
And brush my lips, it’s true.
For I’m reliving those sweet kisses,
And again I’m feeling you.
I remember also holding hands,
So delicate and soft.
And I would hold them anywhere,
In a mansion or hay loft.

Dear Lord go with my Darling.
I love her more than life.
Take away her pain again I pray,
And every single strife.
Dear Lord thank You for blessing me
With the wonders of this girl.
She is the greatest blessing,
I’ve had while in this world!
