When you can finally let go of the rubbish you're supposed to forget.
When you realise you carried the most guilt and remorse,
About matters that much earlier had ran their course,
And nobody else had thought so deeply about it or cared,
And you were the only one curled up sobbing and scared.

When you can shrug off the issues that worried you so
When you don't need to ask because you already know.
When you find yourself laughing at lifes wicked plot,
And you stop trying to be the person you're not.

When a nectarine and passion fruit yogurt is your paradise,
When sipping wine in a warm soapy bath can so easily entice.
When you know peace is a pleasure not to be missed,
And you know all is well when your face is kissed.

When sunny days really are one of the things that matter,
And it's not the end of the world when the scales say your fatter.
And you don't really care if the lines on your face show,
Because you've been here forever and everyone should know.

Ah, the time in life when you become comfortable in your own skin and happy in your own life and don't want to be anyone but who you truly are. Facing truths without flinching. Accepting love for what it truly is and not expecting to make it what you want. Friendships are true and lasting and nothing is expected from it but friendship and each friend is satisified with it. This is a great peace of work here. It is a wonderful time of life and all the laugh lines in the world can't make you regret your life, only brings beautiful memories to enjoy with a glass of wine.

This is good. The first stanza was perfect as far as life goes. I think I know what you mean. Put the past behind and just live for today.
