projecting, growing louder,
getting closer, pulse throbbing,
heart pounding, too frightened
to open my eyes, or lift the blade,
put down the bottle, or tighten the cap,
to stop the pain, to end the fears,
or halt the tears. Weakened by
my past, suppressed by my smile,
and while I cry, while I bleed, the girl
in the mirror, is tearless, the face
she’s wearing fearless. She stands tall,
speaks profoundly, walks with confidence,
but her eyes, are not so guarded,
no brightness gleaming from them,
their not as delicate as her smile,
nor is her voice as persuasive, but
no one notices, her voice cracks, as
certain topics come into play.
Uncomfortable and insecure, she
turns away, the lies she has come
to hide, have become almost
more complex then her life,
entangling her, pulling her deeper,
drowning her, choking her,
leaving more and more scars.
She battles, knowing she’ll never win.
Running away when she’s weak,
hiding the truth,
and yet she smiles constantly, and
no one knows.
They don’t have a clue.
In between so much, she’s
begun to lose control,
gone off track,
and all she does, is hold her
head high, and smile.

this is really really good. i think i know what it's about. is it about a girl who has so many problems in her life but she hides them from the world and keeps them to herself? this is very easy to understand. i give it a 10 out of 10. keep it up!

Ok so did you write this about me? Because this is like... yeah. I know what you are talking about. Wonderfully written. Amazing. Absolutely. Do you mind if I put it in my writing journal? I'll put your name on it if you give it to me!
