inside, carefully i'm needing
the whispers you keep and will not confide

All hours of night i sigh in my silence
Just a lamp's light is my life's defiance
I heard you were thinking, of drowning in sadness
But it's tiresome to weep when fun lies in madness

One more night of no happy
inside, i wish a bullet would slap me
to wake me from life and it's lie

All hours of day i pray with no words
My God is a bottle that drowns heaven's birds
I heard you were tired, of life and it's choices
Just pick your poison neverminding the voices

All day long i'm sleeping gone
all day long i'm weeping dawn
all day long... bottles gone.

i read these just ... words and words last nite

and still this morning they linger in my brain
like a lyrical sonata ...
