Array ( [sid] => 106142 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => To Steal A Kiss [time] => 2005-09-21 11:05:16 [hometext] => A compilation of sorts, from my previous fragmented works. A voicing of a longing, a dream, a hope or is it a wish from the soul of a man who was doomed to love but only once and even then only to end in futility. [bodytext] => When I loved you
you were the first
soo many things to say
yet not knowing the words

I looked for a way
wished for the sentence
all for me to say
what my heart really yearns

alas my vision dimmed
my thoughts are furled
my very being trapped
within a silence unstirred

all I see is your hair
that the wind so carelessly blew
I wish it were my fingers
in your tresses dancing through

all I see are your eyes
doing that thing that they do
as they dance that special tango
shining with that special light of you

all I see is your smile
from those lovey lovely lips
for which I would die
to feel the brush of each

all I hear is your voice
which holds me to your sway
oh! such tender melodies
that once only seraphin played

so I stopped at hello
and said my goodbyes
for the lovely lady that was you
always left me tounge-tied

but I wish it were now
and you are here reading this
for my heart still do yearn
to steal from you a kiss. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 243 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Baronhawk [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Such tragedy, such tenderness and love!
A well crafted tale which pulls at the heartstrings.
I always love a piece that allows you to feel something. This is one of those.
Well done sir!!!

my hat off to the courage that posts such heart strings, my best wishes to the tongue, that such hope brings.

This was so beautiful! It brought tears to my eyes for it is exactly how i feel for a guy! You placed them into the words i've only drempt about being able to! Sweet sweet poem! It should probably be under love and romantic poems though... I swear that is exactly how i feel for someone! You expressed it better in this poem than I could have even thought of! True creativity and love and passion burns me as i read! You better look out or you'll be more famous than Emily Dickinson! And she was so famous we in japan even read her work!

Ah, Hazlan... *sigh*... I recognize the sentiment. Those feelings, those memories hang on for so long... so much so, it feels sometimes as if they are an essential part of you (and they are... for as long as they/you have a need for it to be so). They fade in time, perhaps, but only let go I think when something (or someone) else takes hold of you. Then, dear poet.... you'll find yourself sharing words that you didn't know you have. I wish this for you... as I wish it for anyone who still feels the tug of what no longer is.

Lovely, Hazlan... I'm so glad I stopped by to have a read.

And I say, go for it! You obviously have a lot of passion in your heart, and did a pretty good job expressing yourself here. I share your yearning, having been there too. It never goes away.
