Fall like the pieces of my shattered soul
The shadows dancing the darkness
Mocking my sorrow with a spiteful laugh
Trust rotting in the dust
With what’s left of my spirit
Wishes and dreams
Wilting inside my mind
Hope lying on the floor
Inside a shattered mirror
My reflection split and horrid
Tears dripping steadily down my cheeks
Like blood from a wound
Velvet rose petals float
In an ocean of lies
Misery and pain
Seeping into me
Happiness dangled
Just out of reach
Reaching out
As I’m pulled into the quicksand of depression
If I don’t get out soon
I’ll be lost forever
Floating in a sea of nothingness
If no one grabs my hand
It will be too late
My soul will be gone
And I will be the dead walking among the living
I cry out for help
No one’s near
I cannot see
I’m so far gone now
Not even love can save me now
I am far out of reach
Not a sliver of light can touch me now
Cold darkness wraps me up
In a blanket of despair
Blackness as far as the heart can touch
I can’t even find myself
So cold
So dark
What can I do now?
Where can I go?
I’m alone
I waited to long to ask for help
My cries absorbed by the pain of nothing [comments] => 1 [counter] => 203 [topic] => 32 [informant] => DesolantDreamer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

This was amazing! It left me speechless. It's a brilliant piece and full of emotion. I loved it! Keep it up! =D
