no sign of life can be found.
I do what I can to try and revive it
as it lies in pieces on the ground.

There's no staple or stitch strong enough
to put my heart back in too.
You can try and pick up the pieces
but it's broken because of you.

Each phase in life brings a broken heart
though they never hurt quite the same.
I've never felt a pain like this before
and you are the one to blame.

I hear the echoes of your promises
bouncing off the walls of my heart.
Maybe betrayal is what actually hurt it
when you ripped my insides apart.

When a love is strong and promising
and forever willing to be around...
Why would you rip out a barely mended heart
and then stomp it to the ground? [comments] => 5 [counter] => 194 [topic] => 39 [informant] => faith4reelz [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 12 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

Very well written and raw emotions of the heart.

I wish you a gentle healing.
