The irony in finding this particular poem...lol...Anyway, it may seem kind of angry, it's from 11 years ago, when I was forced to see a psychiatrist [bodytext] => A textbook case
anti-social disgrace
Given but a taste
judge not in haste
What role's needed?
(conversation gets heated)

Plead insane
cry in vain

Haunting eyes
crafty disguise
Refer to your books---
the babbling brooks!
Read my mind
thoughts rewind

Seal the vault
a hypnotizing halt
Jot down your notes
peel away my coats
Sit with smug superiority
I'll feign inferiority

Think you know my type???
Don't believe the hype!

Close your book---
take a closer look
Watch the pendulum swing
(won't do a damn thing)
Leave me be
You don't know me!!

Well... it sure is a different attitude than I had when I saw one (for depression). You've portrayed it well though - it has a note of sassiness to it that really appeals to me.
Nice work, scorp!
Blessings, J.

Anger is a good thing and when you can express it .. it is a great sign! I like your style alot! Talk about borderline or manic behavior , that is probalby what you see in my writing.. its liek explosion of words, emotions all coming out at once. KInd of an uncontrollabe thing. You have a great way of expressing your self vividly and to the point

I guess anyone judging you, would give you some sort of anger inside wouldn't it? Plus getting it out is a great thing. I loved it though, I guess you were as good a writter then as now, which is always good, love the writting, can't wait for more.

I feel sorry for the shrink, but I like the fiesty attitude, as long as it doesn't get obnoxious and out of hand. Our Scorparetta would never do that would she? lol

Hugs,
Rita

Well the poem describes traits that could be a borderline. The disguising there true inner self and anger that is most always a part of it. To our clinics clients, a borderline had to meet two criteria: (1) they had to be in the system for a long time and resistive to change; and (2) No body wanted to work with that client. :) lol. Really, you seem way too nice to be a borderline. :)

A very fascinating write Scorp

Very very sharp piece!!! It's been so long since i've read any poems and this is a sweet reintroduction. It has the venom of the first few poems you posted on this site a while back.

I love the last stanza as well!! Talk about fire and flame!

Take care Scorp!!
