[title] => Reflections at Forty...
[time] => 2005-09-17 00:29:36
[hometext] => Just one of many poems I've written for my children
[bodytext] => At four, reflections encompass the latest day… And are filed away as you thrust them into an eager subconscious. The newness of life overwhelms an appreciation of the past… And life explodes forward fueled by resilient curiosity. What triggers the longevity of life’s encounters? Which memories remain in focus throughout the years? Driven to continually feed a focused, childlike inquisitiveness… I attempt to saturate your innocent thoughts - and mold them into life-long recollections. At forty, reflections of a long life give rise to a comforting grin… And I yearn to recall everything from four. My son, forge through your childhood resisting any attempt to recollect - except for a day. For your reflections at forty are assembled by fate… And are fueled daily by a tenacious forty year-old man….
