Her innocence ripped away
As the clouds spill into darkness
The darkness begs for compassion
Realizing its emptiness
Everyone looks up at her
Astonished by her beauty
But no one looks hard enough
To see the emptiness behind the light
The bareness that consumes her
And as storms brew she cries out
Every drop of rain tells a story
Of words left untold
Some stare at her with wonder
At the weeping sky
But I just stare with mercy
For the oceans she has created.

That's so true, we never really look deep enough, what lays beyong what we can see. The image people create on the surface, hidding or miss-understood. I really liked your poem, I can understand. Great write, can't wait to see more.

i have to say this is my favorite poem from you, probably cause i can relate. it is very often that people judge from what they see on the surface, and never take the time to see what's really there, behind what they see. perfectly presented my friend. can't wait for more!
