Array ( [sid] => 105215 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Man AKA [time] => 2005-09-07 09:03:39 [hometext] => Well I could explain what this is about but we all already know the names that we are called by women. [bodytext] => There are nickname's that women have been calling men for years
Spread worse than the plague through many heartbroken tears
This cycle will not end and men will always be getting blamed
Yet they live on with their lives head high and never ashamed

Have you ever really thought why a man could be so cruel to you
Tell you he cares and love's you when he knows himself it isn't true
Be the man of your dreams the hero you could love forever one day
And be your enemy just after you hear what he knew he would say

All those lonely nights that you lay alone in your bedroom crying
Feeling that your heart has been destroyed and you are dying
Asking yourself over and over how he could have done this to you
With all that you shared with him and the love you thought was true

At first he didn't think he could ever make a woman feel that way
His heart couldn't handle a tear that resulted from what he might say
Yet he has done it to so many women he is with now and was before
Even to those that he would consider marrying and absolutely adored

He must have been betrayed by a woman he thought he couldn't live without
Now every heart he encounters deep down there is a splinter of a doubt
But he ignores the feeling with hope that someday he will love true
So until that day comes he will just have to settle practicing on you

And when he is done he will throw you aside like you meant nothing at all
He will do anything to get away and then he says that he will call
Even though you have again laid your heart in the palm of a man's hand
It gets crushed again and he just grinds it up into a fine red sand

Yes men are pigs and dogs and everything that you have always thought
And even though many women know this, you try to resist him but cannot
He is a poison that beckons you, tempting you to throw your heart in
He is the whisper in your ear and to you he will always be evil as sin

So it has long been over and you are thankful that your not in love anymore
A new man is in your life but you are reminded of what happened before
Even though this man loves you and he will not make the same mistake
You are afraid to get close to him so his heart instead you decide to break

It is a vicious cycle this merry-go-round that we all call falling in love
But it is a beautiful sight when two people finally find a way above
Thankful for the chance that each one gave the other in the start
Not holding anything back from the other and not shielding their heart

Their are many hearts in this world that are filled with anger and pain
But you can't accuse only a man because women are equally to blame
Love can be closely related to Vegas because love is gambling with the heart
The only difference is Vegas you lose always but love wins with a fair start [comments] => 4 [counter] => 239 [topic] => 22 [informant] => Kano [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 13 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

While you have a point lol, you must admit that in more cases then not, it is the man that 'backs down'. Whether or not its from a phobia of being shot down themselves, they may be protecting thereselves but what about the other person. Love's a game of selfish needs, men and women tend to back off if they see that the relationships going the wrong way, scared to be the one that gets hurt they end it themselves in an attempt to save some pain and pride aswell. None the less lol like the rest of your writting amazing, and true in most ways, loved reading it can't wait for more.

Ok little inside information on this one, I wrote this a long time ago about a friend I have, that moves from one girl to the next and you get the idea. I didn't see how he could be so cruel at times so I was trying to figure it out. Who knows, this was written three years ago and he is still the same way. Bad apple I guess
