waste but a moment with hesitation
Hush now child, your fears have come to pass
grab a seat at the front, pay attention in class

Let's learn about anatomy
How the heart causes the calamity

The mind goes on a tangent
Foolish emotions run rampant

Explain about the birds and the bees
Love, lust, and other things that appease
Observe the emotional contortionist
Ransom for love, by the heartless extortionist

Love struck the thunder that erupts
the sleepless dreams that fate corrupts

Foreboding shadow reflects
collective disdain connects
Feelings that shortchange
Priorities rearrange

Irregular compassion
doled out in a timely fashion
You spotted my heart from an aerial
but what you witnessed was it's burial. I always sat up front, so I would listen to the teacher, not be distracted.. That and I am a dreamer, so It kept me from looking out the window. I must admit, I did write poems in math class.. Math to me was boring at that time.. I learned to love it later on.

I see this poem is a different type of class though, anatomy.. learning all about the heart, dissecting it, trying to figure out what makes it tick.

****You spotted my heart from an aerial
but what you witnessed was it's burial.

Someone was kind of late. death ..

This is why we listen to our heart before it does die.. because the mind can lead it on.. a lot of times down the wrong path.

Well, I am sure you could interpret this poem in many ways.. I enjoyed it sensing it this way.

We all need a class on anatomy.. perhaps we can all lay out our own heart and study it first.

My dear! This is tragic! It would seem everyone on here has a broken heart right now. I hope you find true happiness soon. I've read some of your other work before, and I must say, I respect the way you write. It is from the heart, and truthful. Stuff we can all relate to. Blessings to you.

Scorp, just how do you do it? One great write after another.

"The mind goes on a tangent
Foolish emotions run rampant"

Oh, I see. Thank you. Yes another great write from the Scorpenator!!!!

Love lost love gained
Driving one insane
Such thougtful emotions causing our insanity
Suffering thoughtlessness from another's inhumanity.

I like this alot. I like the detail you express about human nature. The gist of this poem is seen in its last 2 lines to me. Love should be something deeper . . .
