and stand beneath the stars aglow;
they wink at you, they wink at me,
as if they knew our destiny.
I see your vision before me.

Even though we’re miles apart,
and the gulf of years too wide to start
our lives a’knew, I wish we could
return to days I knew I would
see your face beside me.

Nothing now makes any sense,
loneliness is too immense.
I’ve tried with others, all in vain.
When I’m with them I feel your pain,
And sense your tears inside me.

Destined to live with the sense of me
clinging to your memory.
My biggest fear, my biggest fright,
is waking one day without the sight
Of your vision before me.

This is a very intense love poem, I surely seen the love you have for this person, your writing flowed in most places and it kept my attention. Very good, keep it up.

Ohhh John, you'll know it in yer heart, in the deepest of yer soul when you have found yer soulmate in life. You have captured that so lovely in this poem. Sadly, some events in our lives prevent us to be with our soulmate and leaves us to be. Those who we feel are our soulmate, will leave a trace in our hearts n souls for rest of our lives, nothing we can do about that.

Well done John!

Huggsss,

Nats

What a lovely write...Sounds like she's the one alright---congratulations: )
Nice rhyme scheme, and I like the way you did the last sentence of each stanza...with the senses...you forgot 'touch' and 'hearing' though: )
