Array ( [sid] => 104868 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Today i fell [time] => 2005-09-01 20:06:18 [hometext] => just a quick write. i walked into a croud today and i seen the same things over and over. a repeat of my life. [bodytext] => Today I fell
The gravel worked its way under my skin
New black marbles under my flesh
Leaving bloody handprints on the ground
Heaving myself up

And I walked on

I fell again the next day
The cement pushed past my finger tips
And ripped away my fingerprints
A reminder for next time
Lifting myself up

And I walked on

Funny how we never learn after the first fall
We make the same mistakes
Day in and day out
In circles we tread
Working our way underground

And I walked on

appealing thoughts dear poet.....I sometimes feel the same way as you....repetition is all there is in this life.....

you conveyed your thoughts very well...and I loved the way you used imagery to describe your 'falling' in the walk of life......great to read.

May you continue to rise up!

Heh. Indeed it is.

(Nice job, by the way)
