Once, I took a leap of faith
Sure that I could fly
Certain I would touch the clouds
In the endless sky
Floating on the winds of hope
With a dreamers wings
Searching for my Shangri-La
And the joy it brings

Oh so high above the Earth
Reason cast aside
Laughing at the fools below
On the breeze I'd ride
Knowing, deep within my heart
I would surely find
That which I so clearly saw
In my dreamers mind

Alas...

Soon the clouds did turn to gray
Wind became a gale
Plunging downward through the air
Wings to no avail
Burning like a shooting star
Guess I should have known
Once, I took a leap of faith...

And dropped just like a stone

Well my heart certainly fell along with this poem---almost to the point of tears. I wish so many good things for you L. But where you see a fallen stone---I see a majestic rock, submersed in water, turning darker and darker---until one day someone finds it and....

They shine it dry and discover that the most beautiful stone in the world---now belongs to them and to think it fell from the very heavens...

It never hurts to dream, never stop....

Kie (Who was quite moved by this one)

Such is a case of hindsight. Yet do not give up, my friend. One day love will find you and you will fly like a kiss in the wind to your love. This is beautiful and touches my heart. Brings a couple of tears too, for I have been there and felt that sad despair. The light is always just around the next corner they say. Let's hope they are right.

Hugs,
Rita

Oh, how well I could relate
To this simple tale of fate
Finding out that if you wait
Lessons learned

Sometimes come late

Been there, done that.

I still get up, mend my broken wings and sail once more into the blue.

Your write brings you to life, yes very alive and visual write.

a very spiritual insight for all of us.

Keep on dreaming.. the clouds are not always gray.

The winds that do prevail in the skies, settle down.

I know, hard drop.. hang in their bud..
