Array ( [sid] => 104641 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Darkness Yields [time] => 2005-08-29 20:50:37 [hometext] => This is kind of a work in progress that kept me up one night. Enjoy. [bodytext] => I see things that others don't
Empty vessels, soul-less hope
These ghosts that pass me by each day
Their essence fading, bright to grey
Motions made but none by thought
These spectres move, are never caught

I see things that others won't
Walls of fury, built to cope
These shells that pass me by each day
Their nature beaten, lead astray
Decisions made but none by will
These shadows dwell with hate to fill

I see things that others miss
The echo of a lover's kiss
These hearts that pass me by each day
Their spirit broken, flayed away
Judgements made but none by choice
These wraiths remain with silent voice

I see things that others should
When nothing works, but God's love would
These souls that pass me by each day
Their hearts now full, they find their way
Though fear persists as we live on
Darkness always yields to the dawn. [comments] => 8 [counter] => 327 [topic] => 11 [informant] => Loende [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 40 [ratings] => 8 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ChristianPoetry )

I've got one word: wow. I think this has got to be my favorite of the numerous I have read today. I love your style, and every word just dances together beautifully. Keep up the good work.

Well now, that is poetry! I'm impressed by the styling, which worked very well, and still more by the perceptiveness, the truth underlying these musings. Well penned, my friend!

*applauding*

Unfortunately ,someone has already said 'wow', which was my first choice. How about 'HOLY MOLEY!!!!!!' I think I've found the poet I've been searching for in all those long trawls through adolescent suicide poetry and irregular syntax.

bellissimo, fantastico, bloody good.
