COMEDY WITH TEARS

A place to call your own,
a beautiful home, memories sewn,
How could we have ever imagined,
all the adventures unknown?
Makes our lives worth living,
unknown futures in the twilight zone?

Exhausted is a word flawed,
a pat on the back, for us applaud!
Packing, cleaning, more packing,
more cleaning.......
and boxes piled high in between.
Let's just sit down for a moment,
rest our 'moving torn' bodies
'twil be most pleasant.

Our little companions stand in awe,
Up, down, all around, active seesaw,
Suddenly from under the bed,
a huge grey monster, well fed!
Half way up the wall, and then
into the bathroom scurrying.
Dogs in pursuit, going faster
than hurrying!!!!

A gorgeous cat, grey as the thick carpet,
hiding under the bed like a bandit.
My beautiful sunken bathtub unused
but not for a bath, a toilet used!!!
Our laughter soon turned to tears.......
Who would leave their beloved pet
behind with all these fears?
A comical genius Montie has always been!
just like Bob Hope's twin,
He yelled, "And all I wanted to do,
was buy a house!"
"Without a cat within!"

Poor little creature disappeared
taken over by 5 dogs his home endeared.
If only they had let us known,
we love cats and we'd find a nice home for it
we bemoan............
I've set out food, and water each day
no sign of grey cat that suddenly appeared.
However, this first chapter is mild,
compared to the rest which is wild!
Please stay tuned for the rest,
The next chapters are the best!

Sad, oh my poor kitty. Just shaking my head.

LOLOL.. great picture. I can see it so clearly. Not certain about cats, if they can find their family. I know one time my dad got so disgusted with our dog, and he took it and dropped it off about 50 miles down the road. It did not take long for our dog to find its way back home. In this case, the cat does not know where its owners went. Ok, did I read this poem correctly lol.

Amen I say to that. Impressive great write.
Friends of mine left their beloved tom cat in my care while they had to temporarily stay absent and I shall never forget the great time I had with "Schnugg-Schnugg."

Wonderful write, wherein the love for pets shines through in every line.
Kudos ConSue
Warm Love

That same thing happened in my neighborhood last month when
a lady with two dogs and a cat was evicted from her house. She didn't even take the furniture. She just skipped town leaving the
animals trapped inside. But our neighbor heard what sounded like a child screaming from inside the house and called authorities.
Luckily, the pets all survived and are in new homes now. I'm
with you on these sentiments. Good luck in your new home!
Rob
