Array ( [sid] => 104620 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Desolate Child [time] => 2005-08-29 16:16:33 [hometext] => This didn't happen to me, but my friend told me how he felt and asked me to write a poem. He said this is exactly how he feels. [bodytext] => Torn from my cradle,
One dark night,
I was not able,
To fight for my life.

Thrown into a car,
With my mother by my side,
I soon noticed,
There were tears in her eyes.

She kept saying sorry,
That this is the way it had to be.
Suddenly came a slap,
From the man who was daddy.

He bagan to curse,
And said it was her fault.
My mother cried more,
But this time with blood.

We came to a stop,
And then found out,
I was on the floor,
On a street I knew nothing about.

The last thing I saw,
Were red lights fading away.
My parents were gone,
And I was afraid.

The last thing I heard,
Was my mother calling out,
That she loved me,
But father made her shut her mouth.

I'm 17 years old now,
I'm unhappy and barley alive.
I still have dreams,
From that profane night. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 180 [topic] => 13 [informant] => forsaken_soul33 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 12 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Definitely a terrible thing to have to go through.

You tell the story well, with a knack for painting impressions.
