The world stops to spin.
You can not live, you cry,
And life is getting dim.

It's part of you that gone,
Perhaps, the best of it,
And a little could be done
To comfort your defeat.

Condolences, handshakes,
Patting on your back...
I know how much it takes
Not to lose your tack.

But still, you have to go
Despite all pain and grief,
And start to do it now
At lenght there comes relief.

I initially read this because I felt a connection---based solely on the title. It is hard, I know. I've lost both of my mine. I don't think you ever get over it but writing it all out has been my salvation.

I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope you will continue to write until the burden eases.

If you need to talk, don't hesitate to message me.

I know it is a tough time.

This poem touched my heart.

Kie

Alex - who could better emphasize with the loss of loved ones , parents or other than I.
The month of September encompasses the totality of losses for me. "Oh beautiful November month of loss. Parents, relatives and on the last day of September my husband, the beloved only thing on earth I had. And every single day of September marks an anniversary of loss, every single day.
But consider the loss on Sept.11th, famous 9/11 and now the hurricane tragedies, loss, loss, loss. Yet we keep going. To what miracle do you ascribe it?
Tell me.
Bless you AlexElizabeth

I lost my mom last year and yes you are right on all counts. Life is hard but you must go on. This is a very positive and honest write.
