the burden too strong
waves overwhelming
i couldn't last long

the shackles bind my arms
rigid bands epstein-barr
palette of life is brite
but i cannot move far

the leash of diabetes
diminishes my reach
the thirst is unending
my strength it does leech

single point in the cosmos
missed on every side
they accuse standoffish
that i always hide

these limbs of rock
slow me to snail's rate
my heart charred and black
my weakness i hate

the waterskin runs dry
has emptied to nought
collapse on the grass
the good fight i have fought

the wiccans pass by
a smirk spreads on their lips
the knights, they just sneer
longswords on their hips

a little girl walks over
a perplexed look on her face
her mother drags her away
vacating my place

molten heat moves aloft
invading my shade
sweat drenches my tabard
this is how i am paid

forcing my self up
the world, it doth spin
against so many odds
i cannot win

the rest is a blur
out of the sun's rays
the a/c cranked full
the windows i raise

with a blast of cold air
i begin my ride
but it's denying the fact
that i've already died [comments] => 4 [counter] => 159 [topic] => 63 [informant] => Jaycee [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => hbadday )

If you truly do have an oncovirus you must be much more careful as you already know. I send prayers to the Father and blessings and hugs to you.
