Dont give me that adoring smile.
Dont tell me that you love me.
Im not worth your while.

Im only a sad little girl,
souls shattered into pieces;
broken heart from so many unloved loves
and never to be mended.

Every unloved love pulls at my heart
shattering it,
breaking it,
pulling it apart.

How can I see it?
The real thing.
Ive already screwed up so many times
I believe Ill never know it.

Yet looking into your eyes,
seeing your adoring smile
I live for hope
that I might be worth your while. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 194 [topic] => 14 [informant] => Shattered_soul [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DreamsandWishes )

"And so you say your life is over
and nothing i can say will change your mind
How can anybody be so selfish and treat you oh so cruel
Go on and scream at me and cry
I'll always hold you in my soul
and I'm never gonna leave you all alone
but your daddy doesn't live here anymore"

Excerpt from "The real thing" By Kenny Loggins

I think your poem is great and I think the words to the song I quoted is why you should let true love come to you.
