Array ( [sid] => 104372 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Angels Cried [time] => 2005-08-25 13:37:13 [hometext] => Originally this was written as a song so I made some changes to make it a poem (hopefully). [bodytext] => At night I walk these city streets
wondering what went wrong,
I gave you everything I had
and then I gave you more.
We had a love that was so right,
but you left me alone
to fight the night.
And the angels cried.

By day I sit down at the park
wishing you were here;
remembering all the joy we shared,
the memories, oh so clear.
Another couple walks on by;
alone again, I slowly die.
and the angels cried,
their tears rained down on me
the angels cried;
they knew what was would never be,
that you were the only one for me,
yes the angels cried
about the love that somehow died.

Beautifully, penned.....most songs are like writes, anyways.! They come from the inner, and could be sung.! It becomes, a song when music is put with it.! Good job,

Brew~

John, again a lovely but sad poem, I can so feel your "pain" in this one. Its very hard n difficult to grow over the one you loved so dear and thought of to be the one in yer life. That feeling will always be there, somewhere hidden deep inside and the lil things in life can bring them out.

Huggsss,

Nats.

Great poem. I'd love to see/hear this as a song. It's really heartfelt, I could picture everything as I read it. Keep up the good work!
