The steam runs over me,
Then I travel beyond,
What I will ever dream,

I picutre myself,
In lights that blind,
Scared to death,
But the audience is kind,

The microphone's on,
My heart echos loud,
My brother brags to his friends,
My parents are proud,

The music starts,
The piano is gentle,
The drums ring out,
The nerves are all mental,

As I start to sing,
The lights get so hot,
My palms start to sweat,
I'm in my happy spot,

After the last note,
And the last drum beat,
I take a deep breath,
While the people rise from their seats,

One clap, then two,
My smile won't fade,
I take a little bow,
And I just simple wave,

Walking backstage,
My fans there to greet me,
This life for me is great,
I finally feel free,

If my manager would let me,
I could sing for hours,
But then I open my eyes,
And I'm still in the shower.
