From across the room, the heavy haze.
I'm singing here upon the stage,
And it seems you're everywhere on my page.

How can I not notice those eyes,
That reveal all and nothing disguise.
They peer into the depths of me,
And I can't help wondering what you see.

I'm playing on to please the crowd,
And my voice rings true as I sing aloud.
But my insides are all on fire,
And vainly I try to quench my desire.

I keep peering back at those eyes,
That reveal all and nothing disguise.
I peer into the depths of you,
And see the beginnings of something new.

I finish quick and take my bows,
Taking only the time my heart allows.
I see you rise from your bar stool,
And the blood within me starts to pool.

You're watching me with those deep eyes,
That reveal all and nothing disguise.
They peer into the depths of me,
And something inside has been set free.

We come together awkwardly,
Neither wanting to act forwardly.
Your smile is shy but your eyes bold,
And I feel countless sensations untold.

I can't look away from your eyes,
That reveal all and nothing disguise.
I peer into the depths of you,
And I know, that you feel it too. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 152 [topic] => 2 [informant] => Sagess [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

Now this is just lovely!

I can picture this in my mind, and it really is a good picture.

There is a lot in this poem, sensations, pictures, thoughts, and it is hard to bring all of these together in a poem without it messing up, but you have done it well.

Really good write.
*hugs* Phil xxx
