This does not bode well
For what it means and what thoughts it inspires
For what fears in the hearts and minds
Of ridiculous melodramatic teens
And yet to the teens
It is every bit as bad as they make it out to be
Even worse
For people never reveal their deepest thoughts
Some say you can see what someone is thinking on their faces
But it isn’t the facial expression they are making
It is the uncomfortable clenching feeling in their gut
That put the expression of the face for all to see
And it’s the feeling, the uttermost feeling itself
That is responsible for the gut feeling

Sometimes people do put faces on
To let others into their personal thoughts and feelings
They try and put on a face
A face that shows what they are feeling
Enough for someone to understand
But not enough to give the wrong impression
And yet at the same time trying to hide their feelings
From unwelcome onlookers
And because of this everyone is constantly misunderstood
So you speak out what you want them to know
But to them it seems so little
So unimportant that they think you don’t mean it
And that you just want to say it
Without anything being done
But they are wrong
I know this but there is nothing I can do to change it
And the world goes on

What? You don't like raking leaves????? I love it. Make a nice big pile and go and jump in the middle with my grandson and have a leaf fight. O.K. Maybe that wasn't what you meant. Facades???? I hate facades!!
