I mean it everyday.
Your everything to me,
I love you.

You saved my life,
took me in.
I was an unwanted child
and you showed me love.

You worry when it gets to late.
your always there for me.
You wait up.

You have been there
through my thick and thin.
helped me when I fell and cried
even in 8th grade
when I tried to commit my suicide.

Youve helped me through my pains,
kept me motivated.
You creat my happiness,
and give me dreams to dream.

though I may not say it everyday
I love you till I die,
Youve been there since I could remember
and there youll always be. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 169 [topic] => 23 [informant] => Shattered_soul [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FamilyPoems )

I liked this very much, a touching and bittersweet poem.

I think I understand you as stating you are what we British call adopted. Well my cousin was also adopted (many years ago now) and he loves his adoptive mother very much, who just happens to be my Auntie (my mother's sister) I think.

I hate family trees, they are so confusing.

Colin

Again, I find your writting inspiring. You fill it with emotions and your heart. I'm glad you found someone to be there for you. Its always better with a shoulder to lean on. I have my sister(not blood) to have my back. Great Write.

~Dawn
