It seems to me there’s a divide
That has always and ever been there
Far more than one ocean wide

In times of trouble it becomes so clear
What differences between us stand
Between the warm and the war-hearted
And what the times demand

Twin paths with no bridge between them
Approaches that face two ways
One to bring peace in the long run
One to ensure war stays

Two minds fundamentally divided
No unity seems to be in view
One longing for a just resolution
One cares not what they do

Between the warm and the war-hearted
It seems to me there’s a divide

Excellent, excellent write. Your words are overflowing with truths. Why must it be this way? Why is war their solution to find peace??? The two don't mix. We human beings thing we are so superior, especially many of my fellow americans. It sickens me how they can go to church, worship their god and then support a war. I get disgusted with my government, I get disgusted with my country. I get ***** at so called Americans, not wanting immigrants in this great fine country...when every damn one of us is an immigrant unless by chance your a Native American. I have had people yell at me, "ya peace lovin hippie, move the f**k to another country", sometimes the thought is tempting. I see Bush weeding his way in deep, declaring some sort of special reason why he should remain in presidency and not allowing another election during a war time event....he needs impeached, before he starts a nuclear war that destroys our Mother Earth. Boy this got me fired up, thanks man. Awesome write. You're not a hippie by chance? LOL Peace, Laura
