I sit and look at photographs,
harsh reminders of the past.
And through the cobwebs of my heart
I know your love is gone at last.
Your face, it haunts these hallways,
your voice whispers through the walls.
I can feel your eyes
when I look at the moon,
and I gaze in weary resignation
as my wishes fall from the sky
with my dreams.
As I stare up at the stars
I pray to go insane,
To live again in long ago
when joy was our domain.
So now I'll light a signal fire
and wait for you once more,
where I'll cast my love aside
'cause you won't share it anymore.
Softly now I close my eyes
and lightly will you fade,
as now I lay me down to sleep
forever and a day.

Missing You

I sit and look at photographs,
harsh reminders of the past.
And through the cobwebs of my heart
I know your love is gone at last.
Your face, it haunts these hallways,
your voice whispers through the walls.
I can feel your eyes

To live again in long ago
