Array ( [sid] => 103782 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Unappreciated [time] => 2005-08-17 22:17:17 [hometext] => This poem is dedicated to my bestfriend, Jenna Paola Alvarez. How I wish that she'd notice how much I love her... more than just a friend. Comments appreciated, ironically... [bodytext] =>
Try as I could, I can’t comprehend
Why you see me only as a friend
When we could have been something more
Your love in return, I’m crying for

You value what we have, of that I’m sure
But to suppress this love, I can’t endure
Leaving love unexpressed makes no sense
So now, I’ll start to break my silence

I love you and it’s making me sad
Being more than friends, is that so bad?
And it’s sad that you will never know
That I love you more than I could show

At times I think you just can’t see
Or refuse to see what you mean to me
I love you, and I’ve loved you all along
Is there something I’ve been doing wrong?

For you not to feel my love so tender
Am I meant to be just a friend forever?
If so, then I’ll just have to bear the pain
My love is unappreciated, existing in vain

My best advice to you is to be careful. I lost my best friend of 7 years after a relationship between us didn't work out. I miss her so much, a friend like her is something I will never find again.

I completly understand how you are feeling. But I agree be very very careful, dont push your luck. Sometimes your better just being firends. Freshmen year this girl and I were really great friends. She had a crush on me and I had a crush on her. But, for some reason we never went out. I did not want to ruin the friendship. So sophomore year comes by, and we still both really have strong feelings for her. So we decide to take it to the next level. The relationship lasted a good 3 months, and we decided to break up for our own reasons. This is all recent too the break up happened this early FEB. Anyway, the first 2 weeks after we did not speak a word to each other. Then after that we slowly started talking again, but that didnt last for long. Now we're not even friends more or less aquintances. I have some poems written on this site that express my feelings from the time. Not exactly which poem(s) it is but there on here for sure. In conclusin, I hate living life with regrets and all, but if I could go back in time I would NOT for one second go out with her. The relationshop and benifits of it were all great but the true friendship outweighs that anyday of the week.

Just speaking with some expiernce, but I do know how to feel... Hang in there

Just my .02

I've lived this poem. You've given me an image to thoughts I've never expressed.
I hope you win her and if not I hope someone else wins you so that you are freed from this
longing . Best of luck , frenz , doug
