Where pain knows no threshold
When wounds cant sting
And harsh words wont move you

In the midst of the conflict
It’s the wall they put up
That you strive to see through

Like a broken record
They can not break you
Over and over
All you know is what they wont tell you
Like a chip on their shoulder
Its their reputation, that they try to hold on to

You know it will soon be over
But there are things you must attend to

First a plan
A strategy to gain the upper hand
To out wit their brains
And make them submit
To your counter claims
To ultimately forfeit
And move back one single frame
Pass your hand across the fire
Deflecting the volatile flame

Sticking to their guns
Licking their tongues
Tasting what they have won
Little do they know
You have just started to begun
And in you pocket
Their destiny is held for ransom
Show no mercy
They wish it were you instead of them

A piece of the pie
They devoured the whole cake
And now they try and lie
An idiot out of you they make
Stand up straight
And positively negate
The notion that you lie down and take

It
From behind
It may take a long time

The title! : O

Good to see you back, and with such a bold piece too! I love the strong stance in this write...Defiant and steadfast, just like the author ; )
Very nicely done, as always.
