All withen my head.
Took for granted happiness
leaving everything left unsaid.

Forgot to watch the moon
As it soared above the stars.
Never knew the sun set so soon
From self imposed prison walls.

Now my hell has settled in
Thriving off my black heart.
Eating away my sanity
The only thing left to part.

Years go bye in the blink of an eye
Leaving insecurities to search for truth.
Lies steal away the sighs
of lonely forgotten dreams.

Take a look into the mirror
and Tell me what you see.
Vacent eyes holding on to
everything I can never be.

A really good first submission. Aside from a few misspelled words (I'm the pot, you're the kettle), and the meter not being exact, it was really good. You created great imagery, letting us see a view from your eye.
Well done.
Take care.
David
