I guess I should say it's everything that sleeps inside my soul late at night... when memories are most vivid... [bodytext] => A thought walked barefoot along the shores of memory,
Sparking an epiphany with a wet match,
An unrequited love left weeping black tears of an unfinished sentence…

Forgotten words awaken with elongated yawns,
Stretching the contours of their forms,
Creating only mindless litany,
As colorless illusions dance seductively across the floors of my mind…

Newborn stars fade in and out from the galaxies of my eyes,
Precious moments found in the distance,
Bathing in the cool, pallor kisses of the sapphire moon,
As my triggered pen bleeds banished fantasies…

Silent contemplations of a moonlit masquerade,
Masks of feigned fidelity worn by puppets of insecurity,
Ever-lasting melodies from the decayed goddess 6 ½ feet under,
Immortal anguish and beautiful death…

The scattered plague of blemishes form a picture on the ceiling’s face,
Complex masterpieces that can only be derived from Memory’s hands,
Just like the clouds of some far off dream,
There is always a facade adorned in pallid tears of melancholy…

There is always inevitable... you... [comments] => 5 [counter] => 329 [topic] => 64 [informant] => FleurdeSang [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ambiguous )

Wow this is so deep it scares me... I've sat
here for probably like 30 minutes trying to
think of something to say to do this poem
justice. I don't think I can say anything other
than this left me in a state of complete and
utter awe. This was just perfection and has
elevated poetry to an all new art form.
Beautiful my dear friend, just beautiful.

Hugs,
Joel

very impressive poem. your first stanza stood out for the way it just caught the readers attention, and made it obvious that your talent should be noticed.
