sipping on this wine listening to the cries
wasted youth and society totally gone so astray
longing for the end which soon will be on its way

dancing in the dead roses
bleeding feet of mind
choking on this new world
blinded by this find
soon the lake will be on fire
ill be swimming in that sea
once lifes burden mixed up burden
has finally set me free
swimming in this flame like a pixie in the night
burning the air around me bringing a simple kind of fright

dropping the chains of slavery
bringing a world for you and me
waltzing in this haze a dance for you to be
one day soon the whole world will see
that freedom is a choice no to be looked lightly [comments] => 4 [counter] => 165 [topic] => 43 [informant] => lostrelic [notes] => Edited for Spelling as Requested by Moderator_15 [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Powerful title to this write.

I love roses, especially the white ones. I was captivated by the title, wondering what the slave part was going to be.

It is plain to see. Oh freedom ring once more. Hurry and ring your bells before it is too late.

I can visualize the entire write. Lots of action words. Beauty connecting with truth.

Powerful imagery, powerful words. Sadly freedom has a price to pay. Because of the power and greedy men running this country it is a heavy toll and breaks down the fiber of this country. In spite of them, we will sustain and come out united as a grass roots country. When in turmoil, Americans do pull together. We have to for our creed and promised rights to our children.
