An infant in your prime
You fought against the universe
Living one moment at a time

My friend you've lost the game
I wish you hadn't played
Drugs and violence will never quench
The thirst of your everlasting pain

Your young life ended
In an alley by the street
A young victim to L.A.'s gangs
A signal of defeat

We thought we'd live forever
Never did it cross my mind
A brother that i always loved
Is now a soldier left behind

Please tell me this isn't true
Please, it's just a lie
You can't be lying in the street
No, you cannot die

I'm sorry my friend
I wish i'd stopped you from the start
Rest in peace my brother
You'll always be in my heart

Very sad and I'm so sorry for your loss.
it's really heart wrenching that life in L.A is this way.
My neice was married to someone from California and his mom sent him to Washington State to live with his sister 'cause all his friends were getting killed in the gangs.
I was by his side the night he found his last friend was taken down by gangs.
Thanks for sharing this as it just might help someone along their way.
huggs, prayer,
emy

I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. I do hope this might deter some who are involved in gangs and make them realize death does not rerun,it is forever.
