What is now is from the past

Like the sands of time forever flowing
My hurt and pain is forever growing

The false hope of a never ending dream
Nightmares of solitude
Make me scream

The gush of red at night it drips
And place hold on my heart
With an evil grip

Pain fills a weak heart with deeds of lust
And leads a sinner astray
Far from His trust

But who am I, but one lonely soul?
Lost in this world
Feeling out of control

On my knees with tears of red
Praying to God
Showing all that was bled

Return me to Your grace
Wipe the tears from my face
And remove the darkness that surrounds this place

It is only You that can save us now
It is only You that can show me how

How to love and to forgive
To not count wrongs and continue to live

I love him dearly, and You know all
Please, God, Please
I continue to fall

I want to feel whole again
All parts as one
But I seem to be broken and on the run

Is it me who is fractured or him that I see?
Bind us together Lord
